Try using a wider, more stretched swing, while keeping your head in place. It sounds like your club face is tilting forward on impact, thus leading to a lower trajectory. Usually with the lower (i.e. longer) irons, there should be a lower trajectory, though.
Also, usually beginners have too steep of a backswing and follow-through, so the wider, more stretched swing should help make the club face more “square” and thus, give you better contact. Good luck.

You do not have an arc in your swing… Instead you are swinging down on the ball with the club in open position..
Keep left elbow straight, roll the left hand over little on the club, create V with the thumbs, slow down the swing, head down and see if it improves. Practice, Practice, Practive on the driving range…

Irons and wood require a different swing. Irons should be a steep arc on both sides of the ball. One way to do this is with iron you should start your back swing with your wrist first then as the club goes back then your arms. The forward part of the swing is just the reverse of that. Start down with your arms then your wrist.
Woods don’t break your wrist until the last thing on the backswing sweep the club along the ground till it leave the ground and break your wrist at the top of your backswing.
I played 20 years without lessons and never got any better. I’ve taken lessons for a couple of years and made quite a bit of improvement.
I think you should have lessons by a professional the game will be much more enjoyable. Once a week or once a month what ever you can afford. You had a football coach, a basketball coach, and a baseball coach. You need a golf coach. Don’t think you can take one lesson and be done it is a continuous process.

simple, ball the ball off of your front foot which will make u hit the ball on the upswing which willgive u a higher trajectory

I think the problem lies in where you hit the ball.
You appear to be hitting it at the top half of the ball and not at the bottom. Despite this, you are able to get the trajectory with because of open club faces in 9/7 irons.
